Wireline Drill Rods In 1994 we installed our automated Diamond Wireline Drill Rods manufacturing plant to manufacture the complete range of high quality heat-treated drill rods, casing and other consumables to assist in mining and exploration. The innovative quality in the straightness, heat treat and material process in our wireline diamond drill rods have proven in the field to be of superior quality and longer service life than traditionally manufactured drill rods. The proprietary and technical process in our quality of heat treatment has complemented Afkos Industries with consistent market share growth over the past 13 years. This, of course, is good evidence as other manufactures are now changing to copy certain process that we currently use in our wireline drill rods. We are delighted with the industry's acceptance of our products, not only in Australia but also in certain regions of the world which are using our drill rods. The support we have found very complimentary for the innovative and endurance shown by Afkos staff in developing a worldwide quality product. Improved Features Include: Extra and proprietary stress relieved material by the European Vallourec steel mill. Closer straightening tolerances than other Drill Rod brands. Every drill rod is straightened to our closer tolerance specifications .005'' (.12mm) resulting in less torque and higher rotation speed. Our unique induction heat treatment of our drill rods ensures the rod hardens and toughens in areas of wear resistance. CNC machining of the historically proven and reliable O threads provides a product at a fair sale price, which makes Afkos Industries' drill rods superior. We export our Wireline drill rods to Africa, South America, Europe, South East Asia and throughout Australia. The Afkos Industries O series drill rods manufactured since 1994 are compatible with the Q series drill rods. (Afkos Industries acknowledges BL have a registered trademark on the letter "Q".) Down Hole Products The Afkos sub savers and change over subs are manufactured from high tensile grade steels and machined by our craftmen with excellent skills and precision manucfacturing to provide extended service life.
