Afkos Industries was established in Western Australia in January 1980 to service the Mining, Mineral Exploration, Oil and Gas, Shipping, Agriculture and Transport Industries in Australia. Steady progress in the initial three years became necessary for larger premises with increased facilities. During 1983 we relocated into our own freehold factory in Balcatta, Western Australia, approximately 8 kilometres from the Perth CBD with 2,870 square metres of factory floor space and land area of 6,000 square metres. The factory is serviced with a 10-ton overhead crane and a number of pillar cranes. Our extensive stock range of mineral exploration core products are designed for the Mining, Construction, Agricultural and Hydraulic industries. Distributors and stockists of hydraulic seals, safety equipment, Hydraulic hoses, Honed Tube and Induction Hardened Chrome Bar which is cut to length. Industrial Chrome Plating Afkos Industries Hard-Chrome Plating & Grinding Services offers a complete one-stop shop, hard chrome plating, grinding, polishing and honing services. Wireline Diamond Drill Rods & Downhole Components In 1994 Afkos installed an automated Wireline Diamond Drill Rods manufacturing plant to manufacture our own brand of heat-treated drill rods. The innovative quality in the straightness, heat treatment and material process in our diamond drill rods have proven in the field to be of superior quality and longer service life than traditionally manufactured drill rods. The proprietary and technical process in our quality of heat treatment has complemented Afkos with consistent market share growth over the past 5 years. Service Repairs Our Service repair division for 26 years have repaired many brands of hydraulic products from Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Australia. We repair Power Team, Komatsu, Caterpillar, Parker, Vickers, Bosch, Hydac, Enerpac and Rexroth products.
